Associate Programme Director Band 8D – 18 months fixed term contract

1. Background

Camden Federations and UCLH were nominated in August 2025 as the Integrator for Camden Neighbourhood Health and confirmed by NCL ICB in September. The role of the integrator plays a vital role in achieving the national objective of shifting care from acute to community settings, with an emphasis on prevention. The Integrator provides leadership, coordination, and operational delivery across the four pillars of NCL’s health and care landscape. Camden’s Integrator is accountable to the Camden Borough Partnership. We are now looking to appoint a suitably experienced Associate Programme Director to help shape the Camden Neighbourhood Implementation Plan and accelerate delivery.

2. Summary job purpose

The postholder is responsible for shaping and managing Camden’s Neighbourhood Integration Programme working with the Integrator Executive and Camden Borough Partnership Leadership Team. The postholder will lead the development of the neighbourhood plan working with partners and the associated delivery programme monitoring impact.

The postholder will be supported by a project team with members drawn from the UCLH’s strategy team, Camden Council and NCL ICB. The post will be hybrid home working and office based at 250 Euston Road, NW1 2PG.

3. Person specification

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to be at the centre of neighbourhood development in Camden, a vibrant and diverse borough where the local health and care community have been working together on an integrated neighbourhood programme for over two years.

We are looking to appoint an individual with significant experience in managing complex transformational change and strategic service improvement. They should have an excellent track of working with a range of stakeholders to improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities. They will have an excellent grasp of relevant current national policy for health and social care and a good understanding of Camden’s provider landscape and population health needs.
